Have you seen Leonardo’s masterpiece, Mona Lisa? More importantly, do you remember that unique smile of hers which has intrigued millions? Yes, she is smiling in the painting, but is she really happy? Are the feelings she shows through her face genuine? You see, things aren’t always as they seem. Not everything you see is always true. Sometimes, to find out what things really are, you need to go deeper, beneath the surface.

The thing about icebergs is that in terms of size and shape, they are very different from how one would see them above the ocean. In reality, what you see from above sea-level is only a fraction of its whole immensity! Beneath the cold water’s surface is the iceberg’s submerged part, hidden from the world above, which can be as big as or even bigger than what you see from a boat.

Another important point to consider about icebergs is that their beauty can be very deceiving. If you’re sailing the Arctic seas, and you spot an iceberg in your path, it may seem so beautiful floating peacefully on the calm waters with its crystal edges, glistening like a mountain of diamonds. It would never strike you that such a wondrous thing is also very dangerous and life threatening. On April 14, 1912, more than two thousand people died in the tragedy of Titanic, all because of an iceberg that hit and grazed the side of the ship. It is quite ironic how something which seems so beautiful and dazzling is actually something very grim and deadly.

In life, you might come across some things which are very misleading. There will undoubtedly be a lot of “icebergs” that will come your way, too. That is why it is important to acknowledge that not everything is as it seems. Hopefully, after reading this, you would have understood the makings of such “icebergs,” and realized the irony that lies behind some things and situations. I hope that you would have somehow been prepared when you come face-to-face with such things in real life.

The moon makes its way
up the skies of the blind,
floating, glowing, signaling time.
Another day passes with eyes unenlightened
and dreams still merely dreams.
When shall it start?
When shall Life take me and fly me off to see its wonders?
The night flies on its livid wings.
The blue stars twinkle at my expense.
The birds of the day fly home to their nests,
and so do swim, the ducks of the tranquil stream,
as it is and has always been.

Oh sweet, immense night, save me, inspire me,
for blinding is the light
of morning arriving.

My Happy Place

Blood boils amidst brethren.
Human rights have been broken.
The devil is here,
building his haven.

Bullets tear through flesh.
Bombs scatter fresh blood.
The air smells of vile stench.
The land is soaked with a crimson flood.

I used to dream of a place
of peace in endless pace,
but our hands are stark bloody.
We are living in the hopeless, dark days.

Millions of mouths left unfed.
Countless stomachs’ are left to rot.
Fingers clench in starvation.
Yet still, people are left to rot.

The streets are restless
with gunshots and punches.
Gangs clash with sparks of fury.
Death is very much alive in the city.

Does peace only exist in life after death?

I used to dream of a place
of peace in endless pace,
but our hands are stark bloody.
We are living in the hopeless, dark days.

Uprising of a Shadow

Fiery eyes spot the target
And vicious claws swiftly snatch it.
You feed,
you pierce,
and you peck,
Slowly digesting
for your own selfish benefit.

Ignorant wings lead
While your faithful bleed.
You shriek vile poison,
And your faithful listen.

Chorus:
The eagle is soaring
With claws wide open,
Ready to strike
Anything moving.

Hearts turn black
As you fight back.
With power and pride,
Your mind’s corrupted.
When will your eyes open
To see the countless bloodshed?

The elders said, “stop,”
Yet still you said, “no!”
So feathery wings soar,
As we, your shadow, follow.

Chorus:
The Eagle is soaring
With claws wide open,
Ready to strike
Anything moving.

You vowed to do good,
But that was then.
Now, all your promises
Have been broken.

Ignorant wings lead
While your faithful bleed.
You shriek vile poison,
And your faithful listen.

The Eagle is soaring
With claws wide open,
Ready to strike
Anything moving.

I just wrote this song and it's still very expiremental. though reading it seems like it's upbeat, it's actually meant to be sang really slow. and guys, if u can hear the tune, it's not anything like EMO. ok? great. =) hehe.
this song's called

"Bondage."

Eyes see blinding beauty.
Lips yearn to kiss.
Swiftly, my heart beats.
Is this emotional bliss?

And I reach out my hand
to seek my sweet solace,
yet still something stands
in my face.

I wish I was somebody else.
I wish I was somebody else.

I’ve found my drug -
my ecstasy,
but it’s illegal.
We’re not meant to be.

And I bang at these walls
that keep me from you.
The one thing I want
is the one thing I can’t have.

I wish I was somebody else.
I wish I was somebody else.

Everything in me says it’s you,
yet rules claim that’s just not true.
Beauty’s meant for beauty,
not me.

Fingers entwined.
Heart’s forsaken.
Why does love have a habit
of leaving me broken?

All I could do is tell you one thing,
Though now it might mean nothing,
“I love you.”

sorry for being cheesy once again guys. hehe. please tell me ur comments or suggestions. tell me what you think, honestly. thanx.
